SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY

AS MARSALA, WITHIN THE SCOPE OF ALL THE ACTIVITIES WE CARRY OUT, WE COMPLY WITH ALL ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS, ALL LEGAL REGULATIONS AND INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS;

– To make our working environments free from hazards, where products and services are produced safely and employees are protected against accidents and risks,

– Preventing occupational diseases that may arise from our working environments,

– To eliminate all forms of discrimination in recruitment, wages, dismissal, disciplinary practices, not to employ child labor, to respect the right of all personnel to organize. To act with a sense of responsibility by taking into account the minimum subsistence needs of employees in wage determinations.

– To respect the beliefs and ideas of all our employees, to provide the necessary conditions for them, to provide working environments free from all kinds of pressure.

SOCIAL COMPLIANCE POLICIES

Child Labor

For the healthy development of children and within the framework of respect for the right to education, not to have employees under the age of 16, to act in accordance with the procedures and principles of employing young workers

Young Workers

Persons who have completed the age of 15 but have not completed the age of 18. Our company does not employ workers in this age group, i.e. young workers.

Recruitment

In order to ensure the continuity of the company's ethical criteria, the selection of personnel in recruitment will be considered as a necessary and important criterion for compliance with the company rules and the company's social compliance conditions as well as technical and professional knowledge, starting from the recruitment stage, the following discrimination and harassment-abuse prevention policies are valid, and the open positions needed within our business are determined and employment is carried out in accordance with the law and within the framework of certain rules.

Foreign and Migrant Workers

Within the framework of our recruitment policy; work permit application, legal process and recruitment processes, international agreements, ILO conventions, customer requirements, etc. All provisions, articles and issues applied are valid for foreign and migrant employees. All items in the policy apply to foreign and migrant workers.

Believing that the basis of social compliance is conscious employees, raising the level of awareness of employees by informing them about their personal rights, company rules, working conditions during the recruitment phase and at certain periods during their employment

Freedom of Association

Freedom of association is one of the most fundamental values and important goals of the International Labor Organization (ILO). Marsala A.Ş. recognizes the value and importance of freedom of association within the company in policy making and implementation. Freedom of association has a proven track record of producing sustainable solutions, including in times of crisis and recovery. Freedom of association exists in different forms, from simple information sharing to the negotiation of binding collective agreements or social pacts at the national level. Tripartite social dialogue can involve employer, employee and government representatives in the public or private sector, or at the bilateral level with only employer and employee representatives (freely elected by employees). Freedom of association can be exercised at the enterprise or local level, sometimes in formal institutions at the national or regional level, sometimes in more informal ways.

Marsala A.S. is committed to the democratic election and active participation in meetings of elected employee representatives in the company, and that they will not be subjected to any discrimination or retaliation because of their representative role.

Marsala A.Ş. accepts, declares and undertakes to respect the rights of employees to unity, freedom of association, collective bargaining, the right to participate in strikes/industrial action and not to retaliate for the exercise of these rights and not to offer any fee or payment to employees to prevent the exercise of these rights.

This commitment is evaluated together with all obligations to be followed by the company in accordance with the legal legislation.

Working Hours

To comply with the applicable laws and regulations in working hours and overtime periods due to efficient work and respect for human rights

Wages and Payments (Living Wage)

Based on the minimum wage as the minimum wage that employees can meet their living expenses; no wages below the minimum wage, payment of overtime wages by making additions as stipulated by law, evaluation of overtime requests of all personnel within the legal limits specified in the law upon request

Discrimination

On the basis that all employees have equal rights, there can be no discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, or termination or retirement based on race, social class, religion, political opinion, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, gender or political affiliation

Communication

With the belief that success depends on healthy communication, to keep the connections between employees and managers alive, to establish good relations between employees and managers and to carry out practices to ensure the continuity of these relations

Prevention of Harassment and Mistreatment

Ensuring that there is no verbal, physical, psychological harassment or coercion in order to ensure the peace of the working environment and to ensure that employees work happily; appropriate behavior to prevent harassment and abuse among workers, management, supervisors and security officers, violence and harassment in the workplace, combating discrimination

Forced and Compulsory Labor

That there can be no work that is obliged by contract or against debt and that work should be voluntary, that all employees should have an indefinite-term employment contract, that human trafficking should be prohibited, that the employee should be employed on a voluntary basis, overtime, freedom of movement, leaving the job, and that the purchases to be made from the labor institution and similar institutions should be based on ethical rules

Occupational Health and Safety

To accept human beings as the most valuable asset in all its activities and to minimize any loss that may occur by creating a safer and healthier working environment,

Training

The education level of employees determines the general level of the company. With this logic, it undertakes to increase the occupational health and safety awareness of employees, to organize internal or external trainings to support their professional and personal development, and to ensure the continuous development of the company due to the development of employees through the organized trainings.

Supplier Management

With the belief that all suppliers are equally responsible; to evaluate the social compliance activities of supplier companies, to follow up the results with action plans, to control social compliance activities with management systems

Subcontracting Management
